Sûreté du Québec Bylaws (documents in French)
The Sûreté du Québec is responsible for following up on the regulations below. Here is a message from the SQ on how to proceed:
“If citizens want police action to be taken, one of them will have to get involved in a complaint. The person will have to provide the following elements:
- Give the specific elements of the offense such as the place, the day and the precise time and a description of the facts;
- A written and signed statement with these elements (click here: Request by Citizen to download the form; fill it out and send it to dg@mayo.ca who will follow up with the SQ. A police officer will contact you afterwards);
- Get involved in court if required (in person testimony).”
If this is an emergency or public safety issue, please call 911.
